WeConnect International current offers for our members

Confidential Waste Disposal
One of the WEConnect International corporate members has a requirement in Nottingham for the disposal of a large amount of confidential waste (from their HR department and it will be a regular requirement) and they’re interested to know if we have any women-owned businesses they could consider. I need to submit names pretty promptly – by the end of this week – so if you know anyone in this space, please do ask them to get in touch with me.

Trades People / Facilities Management / General Construction
One of the WEConnect International corporate members with multiple small sites across the UK is interested to know whether we have any women-owned businesses they could potentially work with for things like facilities management, small construction projects and ad hoc general maintenance of their offices. I know this isn’t a traditionally female field but again, I wondered if you have any women-owned businesses in your network working in the trades who could provide carpentry, plumbing or electrical services etc. in any of the locations listed below. I’ve got a bit longer on this search but if you have any suggestions, please could you get them to me by Friday 20th January.

Locations are: Barnsley; Bedford; Boston; Burton-on-Trent; Bury St Edmunds; Cambridge; Chesterfield; Corby; Derby; East Dereham; Doncaster; Derby; Grantham; Great Yarmouth; Grimsby; Hinckley; Huntingdon; Ipswich; Kings Lynn; Leicester; Lincoln; Loughborough; Lowestoft; Mansfield; Melton Mowbray; Thetford; Milton Keynes; Newark; Newport Pagnall; Northampton; Norwich; Nottingham; Peterborough; Rotherham; Royston; Scunthorpe; Sheffield; Spalding; Wellingborough; Worksop.

For both of these requirements, we can only put forward businesses that are majority female owned – so the business must be minimum 51% owned by one or more women. If they fall under that ownership percentage, unfortunately they won’t be eligible.
