This month we had our first networking dinner of 2024 at Cromlix House hotel and our guest speaker was Vikki Bruce, serial entrepreneur and a truly resilient individual.
Vikki serves as the Managing Director of the whisky-centric luxury travel company, MacLean & Bruce, which she co-founded with whisky expert Charles MacLean in 2013. Adapting to the challenges posed by COVID-19, the company successfully pivoted to include whisky cask sales, now a vital part of their operations.
In June 2023, Vikki, alongside her business partner John Thompson, launched Auld Bond Bottlers, a bonded warehouse and bottling facility in Perth. She is also the Founding Director of CaskNet, a tech start-up aimed at bringing stability to the cask trading industry, which is often plagued by fraud.
A founding member of Conscious Leaders Scotland, Vikki is dedicated to passing on the tenets of Conscious Capitalism through mentoring young professionals in the Scottish business community. While managing the needs of the various businesses, Vikki enjoys travelling, ideally with at least one of her three daughters, possibly her husband and definitely her camera.
Vikki lead the conversation with resilience in business and how to overcome adversity. Vikki battled with a devastating loss two years ago when her business partners David Moore lost his life through suicide. Now Vikki is a force for awareness and good on all things that involve bouncing back.
