On Wednesday 19th June, ten intrepid BAWEScotland members had a fab day out at the Alpaca Trekking Centre in Thornhill. Thanks to Claire who matched us with our furry friends and guided us on a trek around the farm. She was very knowledgeable about our alpacas and llamas who varied in shape and size just like us.
The experience gave our members a chance to network whilst feeling the calming energy from the animals.
Having worked up an appetite the group headed to the Courtyard Cafe in Fintry where we enjoyed a very scrumptious afternoon tea in the newly completed glasshouse. We were delighted to be joined by Katy Rodger who took time out of her busy schedule to share her inspirational and amazing entrepreneurial journey. A message of resilience, creativity and making the best of the opportunities and challenges in business.
We all left feeling happily satisfied and uplifted.
